There is an African proverb that says too much intelligence is bad for wisdom. In English its called knowing it all, so you lack the ability to learn from different perspectives. Before you speak about, travel to, invest in, or even pray for Africa you need African perspectives. What would we buy, what would we invest in, what are our challenges, what will we not accept. This is a detailed research combining decades of travel across the continent, unscripted open-ended interviews, with data into my personal notes. The book analyses African conditions, priorities, challenges, opportunities, hopes and aspirations. Memories of conversations around out door fires, with ordinary farmers, cooks, soldiers, health workers, teachers, refugees, travelers, legislators, rape victims, industrialists, both pessimists and optimists from this continent. Africans know the road ahead after centuries of going backwards thanks to new found awareness, educations and infomation. They give insightful approach at problems and suggest feasible out of the box solutions to our own priorities. With chapters covering corruption, environmental conservation, healthcare, security and justice, mining, food security, industrialization, free trade, clean energy, sovereign wealth funds, and reforms to the United Nations. The people of Africa not only complained about the problems in this book, they gave me all the solutions, I just structured them and researched there feasibility. I learnt that without sorting land injustice an water availability we have no food security.I learnt that with out digitization of records we have no justice and can never end corruption.I learnt that without gender equality and environmental conservation we have no progress.I learnt that without industrialization and free trade we have no job creation.I learnt that with out reforms in international governance we have no peace.I learnt we can build our own systems, assemble cars, ships, airplanes, software, technology, factories, add value to our products and services attract investment, meet market demands and grow in peace instead of abandoning ship and swimming towards Europe.Enjoy our journey and be partners in prayer, investment and mutual exponential growth. Dr Kaggiah Kinuthia Njuguna. My favorite description of the trip is in Africa "e;To boldly go where no man has go before"e; Captain Jean-Luc Picard. of the USS Enterprise.
