This work was previously published as an individual volume titled 'The Master, The Lover, and Me' by Denise McDermott King, subsequently within the combined volume 'And All Because of the Letter' by Denise McDermott King, and later within the compilation 'Two Dingbats on a Spiritual Quest' under the pseudonym Ellie Mac. All previous editions have been retired. This standalone edition is published under the new title 'And All Because of the Letter' by the author's primary name, Denise McDermott King. I found an old letter in the library of an English stately home.It was addressed to the Brotherhood of Light and carried a dire warning, which I ignored, and with great bravado, decided to replicate word for word. I was completely unaware that this one act would take me into a world I had previously known only through books and teachings. What followed was a journey into the company of Beings whose knowledge and evolution were far beyond ordinary human understanding. They did not simply demonstrate natural law, they took me into it, encouraging me to experience and participate in what lay far beyond the understanding and belief of most people. And I did.Alongside this came a love so profound that some might have called it forbidden. It reached places in me that nothing else had reached, beyond thought and beyond language, into the deepest part of my being. Once it had touched that place, there was no returning to the life I had known before. Were there tears? Yes. Were there doubts? You bet. Was there love? Absolutely, and in a measure I had never known. But perhaps the greatest surprise of all was the humour. Who would have thought that these extraordinary Beings, with all their knowledge and mastery, could also have such a wicked sense of humour? The journey was hard, enlightening and glorious, and somewhere along the way I discovered that the world I had thought impossible was not impossible at all, but open to all.The letter had carried a warning, but I had no idea that those words would lead me beyond belief, beyond imagination, and into a reality I could never have found on my own.
