Architecture of Falling Leaves

Behind the panoramic windshield of a twenty-ton municipal refuse truck, an aging driver measures out the turning of an unyielding season. Along the pristine avenues of the upper ridge, estates discard manicured autumn foliage with mechanical perfection. Down in the narrow tenement alleys below the viaduct, fractured asphalt and low-hanging cables demand brutal, unyielding physical labor. At home, a grocery cashier tends to aching joints and swollen veins after grueling ten-hour standing shifts. Between escalating tuition installments, impending heating fuel deadlines, and the quiet toll of continuous overtime, two working parents quietly shoulder the weight of an unforgiving economy to protect their daughters' futures.Set against the gray frost and industrial chill of late autumn, this quiet, deeply observant portrait of blue-collar life explores endurance, sacrifice, and the enduring resilience found within an ordinary home.
