Be the Light...

In the ancient city of Shiraz, where jasmine drifts through sunlit courtyards and the call to prayer echoes across tiled rooftops, young Mitra learns that beauty and hardship can exist side by side. Growing up in a home shaped by silence and uncertainty, she discovers an inner strength that helps her survive when comfort is nowhere to be found. As she journeys through changing cultures, family expectations and personal challenges, Mitra must navigate the delicate balance between belonging and staying true to herself. Tender, evocative and deeply moving, Be the Light... is a debut novel about resilience, identity and self-discovery. Through moments of loss, hope and transformation, it explores what it means to find your voice after years of being unheard. Ultimately, it is a story about courage, healing and learning that the light we seek is often the light we carry within ourselves.
