Beast of Brackenhill

Jamie Bloom came to Brackenhill House to illustrate a book, not fall into a fairytale. The struggling children's illustrator has landed the commission of his dreams: three months living at a secluded English country estate while bringing a beloved collection of fairytales back to life. Brackenhill is everything Jamie could have imagined, filled with secret staircases, forgotten rooms, overgrown roses, and enough inspiration to transform his stalled career.Unfortunately, it also comes with Lucian Valentine.Once one of Britain's most recognisable actors and models, Lucian disappeared from public life after a devastating accident and years of relentless media attention. Now the scarred, sharp-tongued owner of Brackenhill wants privacy, peace, and absolutely nothing to do with the relentlessly cheerful artist invading his home in a bright yellow coat. But three months is a long time to avoid someone.Shared breakfasts become late-night conversations. Arguments turn into teasing. A neglected rose garden becomes their favourite place to hide from the world. And the more Jamie discovers the private man behind the infamous nickname, the harder it becomes to remember that Brackenhill was only ever supposed to be temporary.Because sometimes the beast isn't waiting to be transformed.Sometimes he's simply waiting for someone who sees him and chooses to stay. The Beast of Brackenhill is Book 1 in Once Upon a Boyfriend, a contemporary MM fairytale romance series filled with grumpy x sunshine chemistry, forced proximity, cosy country-house romance, mutual pining, found family, humour, and a modern Beauty and the Beast twist.
