Between the Tides

Others are remembered in seasons, friendships and the places that never quite leave us.Growing up on a farm in rural Lincolnshire in the 1950s, Rodney Clayton belonged to a world of muddy fields, close-knit communities and childhood adventures. It was there that a fascination with shooting first took hold, beginning a lifelong passion for wildfowling that would carry him from the Lincolnshire coast to the Solway and beyond. In Between the Tides, Rodney looks back on a lifetime spent close to the land and the wild places he loves. Through treasured friendships, faithful dogs, memorable flights, near misses and stories gathered over the decades, he captures not only a life of sport and adventure, but a rural way of life that has changed almost beyond recognition.
