Cash Johnny: American V/A hundred highways 2006 (CD)

Månaderna innan hans död spelade han in nytt material tillsammans med producenten Rick Rubin. Albumet "American V: A hundred highways" innehåller låtar skrivna av låtskrivare som Hank Williams, Rod McKuen, Bruce Springsteen, Don Gibson m fl. Dessutom innehåller albumet två låtar skrivna av Cash själv varav låten "Like the 309" var den sista låt han skrev och spelade in. "I think that 'American V' may be my favorite of all the albums in the American series. It's different from all the others, it has a much different character. I think that this is as strong an album as Johnny ever made. These songs are Johnny's final statement. They are the truest reflection of music that was central to his life at the time. This is the music Johnny wanted us to hear". - Rick Rubin LÅTAR: 1. Help Me 2. God's Gonna Cut You Down 3. Like The 309 4. If You Could Read My Mind 5. Further On (Up The Road) 6.
