Keeping secrets is hard, but keeping a werewolf pack from devouring your small town is murder. As the town's Keeper, Lela guards a hidden safe room of magical artifacts beneath her home, a legacy she desperately hides from her blissfully oblivious boyfriend, Police Chief Murray. The facade of her sleepy midwest town shatters during the annual Fall Fest when a brutal, coordinated attack leaves a local man dead on the courthouse steps. The culprits aren't wild animals; they are a ruthless pack of werewolves operating out of the ancient, shadowy monastery on the bluffs. When Lela's gentle friend Stan is scratched and marked for claiming by the pack's Alpha, a deadly countdown begins. Stan has only three days before the werewolf's curse overwrites his humanity forever. Alongside her former shape-shifter housemate Lyrath, a tactically brilliant ex-Marine, and her fiercely loyal golden retriever Hazel, Lela must dive into her family's darkest archives to unearth a cure. Her quest pits her against a treacherous jinn and forces her to infiltrate the very heart of the monastery's crypts. To save her friend and protect the town's magical vortex from falling into the wrong hands, Lela must embrace the full, terrifying power of the Keeper.
