Founders' Ball - Series Finale

Deborah Okafor has been Cedar Falls' mayor for eleven years - organizing every festival, every fundraiser, every one of this town's remarkable string of happy endings, while quietly setting aside any thought of her own. When historian Dr. Miles Kavanagh arrives to document the town's hundred-and-fiftieth founding anniversary, he uncovers a truth that upends everything she thought she knew about her late husband's family legacy - two weeks before the biggest celebration of her career. As the whole town gathers for the corrected Founders' Ball, alongside all nine couples from the series, Deborah discovers that some legacies are worth correcting, and some chapters are worth finally writing for yourself. The Founders' Ball is the heartwarming Cedar Falls series finale - no cheating, no cliffhanger, guaranteed happy ending. A short, sweet read of about 6,400 words (roughly 25 minutes).
