[Climate Theology: A Reader]Christian churches and theology are under criticism in the climate debate: 'The' Christian view of humanity has led to humanity ruthlessly exploiting the planet and its resources. "e;Western"e; churches still support a lifestyle that is harmful to the climate. And 'theology' is guided by basic assumptions that promote this and do not take appropriate countermeasures. The contributions in this volume show different approaches to the topics of climate, environment and creation from the perspective of theological disciplines. Biblical, theological-historical and more recent perspectives are discussed. This opens up a spectrum that reflects on the understanding of God, the understanding of human beings in their existence in the world, religious attitudes and the sense of responsibility inherent in them. In the process, a diverse range of interpretations for a theological approach to the climate issue comes to the fore.
