Intrinsically entwined. Both on a quest to save God: 2028: The June cases have been solved and closed. At least as far as the top brass was concerned. DCI Angus Westmoor was of a different opinion. He smelled a cover-up and the brass was trying to buy his silence with an early promotion.Had Angus' bosses underestimated his tenacity? Did they believe that he could be bought off? If they did, then they didn't know Angus Westmoor. Together with his sergeant, Tyrone Speers, Angus pursues the June cases to the bitter end and in the process uncovers the depths to which the mysteries plummet. He also discovers some home truths that may well darken his future. But, if nothing else, Angus is persistent for the truth and to the bitter end he will take his investigation. And the end is, indeed, bitter. 1584: The champion chosen by the Voice of God lies dead in a back street in Kraków. His quest failed before it had begun. What now for the quest to save God? Who will take up the mantle? Who will lay the clues and foundations for the generations to come? The generations who will continue the quest to save God.
