Meaning in the Making : Introducing a Hermeneutic Perspective on the Contribution of Design Practice to innovation

Interest is growing in design’s contribution to innovation, but up-close studies on the meeting between design practice and traditional companies have been lacking, until now. This thesis provides exciting ethnographic accounts of what happened when five designers engaged groups of non-designers in experiencing design hands-on, and how these events challenge our understanding of innovation.
