It does not resemble, in any fashion, democratic politics as normal in Canada. For the last ten years Canadians have watched these forces play out in the United States. But now these same forces have arrived here, within our own country. They are threatening to tear us asunder at the precise moment when we are most vulnerable, at the precise moment when our national unity is most paramount.
