Sacred Pizza Box List

Oscar, once a disaster with a talent for bad decisions, has spent years finally getting his life together. Early nights, sensible choices, minimal chaos - he's practically a responsible adult. Or at least he's convinced himself of as much. Then, out of the blue, Leon calls - and all good sense goes straight out of the window. What begins as the honouring of an unspoken debt quickly snowballs into the kind of nonsense Oscar should know better than to get involved in. Before he can blink, he and Leon are knee deep in their Sacred Pizza Box List again, armed with a questionable plan and heading off on a fool's errand to the greatest gig in history. Their pilgrimage soon spirals far beyond the music, as the story sweeps through nineties Manchester, the Swinging Sixties, the counterculture haze of Haight Ashbury, and finally towards the drug fuelled chaos of the Woodstock festival - a place where reality bends, time blurs, and nothing is quite what it seems. But the past is waiting, and Oscar stumbles into a scheme far stranger and darker than anything they could have imagined. A group with their own ideas about 'expanding minds' has plans that reach far beyond the festival fields, and Oscar finds himself drawn into an experiment no sane person would volunteer for. One moment he's chasing the music; the next, he's drifting through psychedelic visions, fractured memories, and a reality heading for trouble. As Oscar slips further from himself, those who love him are forced to confront the fallout. Leon, ever loyal but catastrophically impulsive, is determined to drag his friend back - even if it means facing the repercussions of their past head on. New allies emerge, old wounds reopen, and their spiritual journey becomes more than a nostalgic pact; it becomes a lifeline. With time running out and the past closing in, Oscar's latest rock 'n' roll pilgrimage threatens to become the moment he is lost forever. To save him, his friends must unravel the chaos he's wandered into and pull him back before the music stops - because if they fail, the greatest gig ever might be the last thing he remembers. The Sacred Pizza Box List is a darkly comic, psychedelic adventure exploring friendship, nostalgia, and the perilous paths our pasts can lead us down. Comparable to Irvine Welsh and John Niven, the second instalment in the Gigging Trilogy pushes Oscar and Leon further than ever before - setting the stage for an unforgettable finale.
