Season of Ghosts

Welcome to Cedar Brook Falls - Massachusetts' Other Halloween HomeNot Witchy, But Wicked FunThe ornate Victorian house alongside Main Street Cemetery isn't the only thing professional genealogist and historian Elyse Dutcher inherited from her great-aunt Adelaide. She also shares Addie's "e;gift"e;-the ability to talk to ghosts. It's a gift she would return in a heartbeat if she could. In Cedar Brook Falls, masks are a way of life, but for Elyse, the metaphorical mask she wears every day is very real.Best-selling author Anton Masin has just promised his agent a new book based on a branch of his family tree stretching back to the 1800s. The problem? He doesn't know anything about those people. Every search leads to the same place-Cedar Brook Falls. And when he learns that the town transforms into a Halloween-lovers paradise every October, he can't resist going to see the place his ancestors once called home. One email to the Cedar Brook Falls Historical Society sets Anton on a collision course with its enigmatic historian, Elyse. He insists Halloween should be a carefree time to embrace the extraordinary; she maintains it's all a carefully crafted ruse. But when they stumble upon a long-buried Masin Family mystery, Elyse becomes the only one with the ability to solve it-with a little help from the Historical Society's resident ghost.Sworn to never reveal her so-called "e;gift,"e; Elyse must decide if Anton Masin is the one person for whom removing her mask is worth the risk.
